New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern gives birth to baby girl

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern gave birth to a baby girl in an Auckland hospital. She is becoming only the second world politician to do so while in office.

Jacinda Kate Laurell Ardern date of birth 26 July 1980 is a New Zealand great politician who has served as the 40th Prime Minister of New Zealand since 26 October 2017.

She is political leader of the Labour Party since 1 August 2017 in New Zealand. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Mount Albert electorate from 8 March 2017. She was first elected to parliament as a list MP at the 2008 general election

Thank you,’ the 37-year-old said in a statement. She include that both mother and daughter were doing well. She wrote on Instagram: ‘Welcome to our village wee one. Feeling very lucky to have a healthy baby girl that arrived at 4.45pm weighing 3.31kg (7.3lb) ‘Thank you so much for your best wishes and your kindness. We’re all doing really well thanks to the wonderful team at Auckland City Hospital.’
